Ta-dah! Here’s my first blog post of 2019 and my first ever corduroy pants on this blog, I think! There’s a million excuses I could use about my absence from here but I won’t bore you with them, I’ll just get stuck right in!
I’ve had creative resurgence in putting outfits together; I think it’s because I’ve been inspired by a few YouTubers lately. The likes of Valeria Lipovetsky and Best Dressed have been my top-watched channels over the past few months, so if you’ve experience the same ‘fashion fatigue’ and this post doesn’t inspire you, check out those channels. Both had inspired me to try different looks and pop my head into the oppshop to see what’s on offer. I’m happy to say that I’ve found a cute skirt I’ll be ‘thrift flipping’ over the weekend.
I’m really into corduroy and warm, autumn tones at the moment. When I saw these corduroy pants at Uniqlo I knew I needed to invest. I’ve been looking into cropped pants for a little while and inherited some black denim ones from my lovely neighbour, which I’ve worn so much. These corduroy pants will take me through winter and into spring, I’m sure of it. They’re such a versatile colour that can be worn with like colours: whites, blacks or even something fun and bright. I could also pair these pants with Birkenstocks or some runners for a whole different vibe.
Here are the details of this outfit:
My woollen coat is from Uniqlo. You can find a similar woollen coat in a nice wine colour from Uniqlo, Zara is also stocking a nice masculine style coat, an Esprit tailored coat from ASOS or this more adorable Weekday coat.
The corduroy pants are Uniqlo, but there are slightly cheaper cute corduroy pants from Cotton On.
My boots are last season from Zara, they have similar black leather pointed boots.
The cat eye sunglasses are also from Zara.
