If you haven't already noticed, I love wearing denim. But, just because you love something doesn't mean you need to own heaps of them, right?
I've been listening to The Minimalists Podcasts a lot lately and they've inspired me to begin downsizing my wardrobe, my home and my life. By doing so, I've started to feel so much more at ease at home and within myself. If you're interested in minimalism and the benefits; I'd suggest listening to their podcasts.
When I downsized my wardrobe it was really liberating. I've held of buying clothes and fast fashion items that we're told to own, things that will make us more 'fashionable'. Instead, I've opted to invest in items that will add value to my life; whether it's by simply making me feel confident wearing it.
However, sometimes, you do just want to spoil yourself. I get it, you can't just stop and decide to never to buy anything ever again. So, the last time I got this urge, I went to my local opp-shop and took a look there. I figured anything I bought was a donation to my local community and if I got sick of it in a month, I could simply re-donate or sell.
Check some of these second-hand shops out next time you feel like going on a spree.
