IZABEL LONDON - 3/4 SLEEVE DRESS

Friday, July 10, 2015

Here's the second Izabel London dress. I'm actually not impressed by this dress very much and I was looking forward to it the most. I thought the material would be soft and velvet-y. It's the complete opposite. The material is a little rough and feels a bit cheap.

I wore this for a day at work and I came home, got changed into my PJ's to find that my entire beige singlet (it's winter okay!) was coloured black and so were my arms and armpits - the black dye from the dress had rubbed off onto my clothes and it also ruined my comfy bra too!
So, I'm pretty weary about wearing this dress again especially because the dye rubbing off.

  1. Such a shame about this dress because judging from the photos it looks beautiful on you. I guess you can't judge quality by a photograph sometimes!

    1. I totally agree Melanie! It's a real shame. Perhaps washing it before putting it on would have helped. But, it never mentioned it on the label or said that the dye may rub off.
      Oh well!

  2. I agree with Melanie - it's a shame the dress had some colour transfer as it really is so pretty on you! I love the colours and you wear it well :)
I got some clothes from Izabel London recently and I haven't had any colour transfer yet - they've been washed too so I should be okay...but I'll be sure to be careful just in case! :)

    1. I might give it a wash now that you mentioned that - I don't normally wash new clohtes - I just assumed it'd be okay. I'll have to check your blog on what you picked! xx

  3. Well it looks beautiful in photos!! You really should complain about the colour transfer though. I bought a black jacket by Bluejuice I wear at work almost every day and it has ruined so many dresses and bras, and turns my armpits and upper arms purple!! (very awkward when I once took my jacket off at the doctors to test my blood pressure, he looked really concerned like he thought I was a domestic abuse victim!) I should've complained earlier but I really really like the jacket and I kept hoping with every wash that it would stop happening. 40+ washes later, still getting purple pits! I'm actually going to dye my ruined bras black now because they look so gross.

    1. That really sucks! I think I remember you mentioning that jacket to be before. I can't believe it's still happening though - that's crazy! Maybe one day it might finally stop colouring your pits! haha
