If you follow me on Snapchat, you would have noticed my latest addition, the Hoya. When I saw it in the local flower shop, I knew it was mine. The Hoya is a vine, so it likes to climb. The leaves are lovely and glossy and the plant flowers too! It's perfect. It would look great on your balcony in a hanging basket or in the bathroom. I've got mine on top of my wardrobe so the leaves can hang down.
BUNNY EAR CACTUS
I first saw this on Pinterest and I was in love with how cute this little cacuts is. Last weekend when I was at the Queen Vic Market with Adrian, I saw one and bought him. I've popped him in a tea cup to grow on my mantle piece.
Also known as the the mother in laws tounge! I haven't got my little hands on this one yet, but how awesome do they look potted?! The snake plants don't like a lot of sun, so they'll thrive in a place that needs some brightening up!
The Devils Ivy looks similar to the Hoya, although there are some pretty noticeable differences in the leaves and that this plant doesn't flower. These leaves are much wider and some varities have some white pigments in them. This plant looks nice hanging, just like the Hoya or potted with a stake or something to climb on so it can grow tall.
FIDDLE LEAF FIG
I've got a Fiddle Leaf in my place from my twin sister who just moved to Copenhagen. I've been taking care of it for about 2 weeks now. It's such a lovely plant to have in the home. It looks so nice in the lounge room. The Fiddle Leaf doesn't like direct sunlight, so keep it in a bright area where the light is filtered. They can grow really tall as well!
