LOCH ARD GORGE

Saturday, February 21, 2015

I've been itching to head down the great ocean road for a really long time, like three years. So, you can imagine how happy I was that we made the drive up there a couple weeks back. The great ocean road was spectacular. The highlight was the Loch Ard Gorge, where these photos were taken. We took a dip, hung out and did handstands on the beach, it was so lovely. Although, the gorge has a brutal history. The gorge is named after the clipper ship, the Loch Ard, that sunk just off the coast. There was only two survivors from the wreckage!

Anyway! After we had enough of the beach, we drove down the coast and had dinner in Lorne and then made our way back to Melbourne.

I bought these bikini's from ASOS and I love them! I've been really drawn to high waisted to bikinis since I got a great pair from H&M that I've worn every summer for a long time! So, it was also time for a new set.

If you're from Victoria, I urge you to pack the car on a hot day and drive down the coast to see our beautiful state. (I think a look at the last image will inspire you to pack the car!)

  3. Oh these are beautiful photos! :) I really like Loch Ard Gorge, I was there a couple years ago, although none of my pics are this good! It was also really cold and rainy, no swimming for me! one day I'd love to do the great ocean road in warmer weather :)

    1. Thank you Mica! You should definately come during the summer one day. You could make a trip out of it! Although, you do have excellent beaches down your way anyway!
It's hard to get a warm day in that part of Victoria, so it was pure luck that we had good weather! Thanks so much for commenting!
