Allow me to introduce to you my favourite photographer, Simone Anne. I first found Simone via a giveaway we were all doing together. I went on her Instagram and was blown away, I think I liked about 20 images and wrote on her latest picture telling her how amazing they all were (and that she has the nicest insta!) All her images are beautiful and I can't wait to share this interview with you guys. I hope Simone's interview inspires your inner photographer or encourages you to dust off your camera and go on some adventures.

Who takes the amazing photos on your blog?
I do! I work as a professional wedding photographer for my "day job" so it's a natural progression for me to take the photos for my blog. That being said, they're almost always personal photos, not images I've taken on a job. I travel a lot for fun, so that leads to a lot of photos from around the world!

What made you want to start your blog?
It was a combination of things. I have a photography blog for my business, but I wanted to expand what I shared from my travels. I found that with my professional blog, I was really intense about keeping all of the images perfect, since it represented me professionally. I started the travel blog, in part, to take the pressure off, a bit. I still take it seriously, obviously, but I also feel comfortable sharing photos from my phone or images that help tell the story even if they aren't the most professional picture I've ever taken.
I also just really wanted to share my experiences, with friends and family, with internet colleagues, and with the world. I don't see the point of hundreds of travel photos sitting on my computer's harddrive. It's much better to share them and help inspire others to seek out new adventures!

When did you decided to start a blog and why did you decide to start blogging?
I've been blogging for my professional photography since before it was my full time job! I'm pretty sure that blog goes all the way back to perhaps June 2009? 2008? It's hard to say, exactly.
My travel blog is brand new, when you compare it to that. I started We Are Adventure to chronicle my travels just over a year ago in June 2013. It was born as I was getting ready to head out on a LOT of travel. I spent about five months out of the country this year (2014), visiting Uganda, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France, South Africa, and Thailand, as well as backpacking and camping throughout my home state of California. It was a LOT of travel and I knew I'd want to share, so I created the travel blog as a separate project to be that outlet.

Where do you get most of your inspiration from?
My travels! I love travel: I love the way it makes you see things in a new way, open your mind, try new foods and new experiences, and so on. Probably my favorite thing about travel is that once you've started taking big trips, you feel like you can do anything. The first time you get on a plane to a new country, it can be a little nerve wracking, but the more you do it, the better you get at it and the more you can focus on being inspired, learning, and meeting new people. It's such a blast and with a subject like this, I don't think I'll ever run out of content for my blog. It's actually more of a race to write everything I want to than come up with new ideas! haha.

How do you manage life/blog/work/study?
I'm not very good at that! I definitely prioritize client work, so sometimes my blog doesn't get any love. The upside is that overall, I love blogging about travels, so putting together posts for We Are Adventure is something fun and not work. It's my hobby!

What have you learned from blogging?
It's been a wild ride, to be honest, and not something I anticipated when I started. I've made a lot of friends from around the world as I've blogged, which is neat because since they come to me through interests, we usually have a lot in common! I learn a lot from them about blogging, storytelling, traveling, and the world! I've actually been lucky enough to meet a few people in person, too, after knowing them online through We Are Adventure and Instagram. It's really made places feel personal and there's nothing quite as fun as exploring a new city with a local friend by your side! That's something I really hope to continue as we travel to more places.
